True compassion is the ability to see what is beyond body and mind. Only then can you offer real help and uplift others - Amma

With the compassionate grace of our beloved AMMA, Satguru Mata Amritanandamayi Devi, our school started functioning with 1400 students last year and this year we are proud to announce that it has increased to 2340 students till class 8. The real value and the aim of education as visioned by AMMA is practiced and taught to children. We, in Amrita Vidyalayam, aim at the holistic growth of students. Teaching in today’s mixed-ability classroom is a challenge. The classroom is a dynamic environment, bringing together students from different backgrounds with various abilities and personalities. Moving on to the CURRICULUM…….

6. Smart Board Class Rooms:

In order to improve teacher effectiveness and productivity in class and to bring abstract and difficult curriculum concepts into life inside classrooms and make learning an enjoyable experience we provide smart classes to our children. The use of technology to impart education through ‘Extra marks’ is one of our highlights which is used regularly by teachers.

At Amrita we have well equipped Science lab, Math lab and Computer lab to expose our students to project based learning. Through lab activities, we ensure that our children get the opportunity to carry out the experiments individually and retain the knowledge for a longer period of time

8. Assessments:

Assessments are very essential as they measure students’ achievement in order to maximize the students’ learning and to modify instruction according to the individual needs. We have three mid-term examinations to assess the students periodically. Half yearly and Annual examinations are also conducted to evaluate their summative performances.
